All Thrust Company sprockets are machined to exact
tolerances, made by craftsmen who have been making sprockets
for 85 years! All rear sprockets are 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum
alloy and drilled for extra lightness. All front sprockets
are machined from case-hardened steel, and most are drilled
for lightness and plated for corrosion resistance.
We take great pride in perfecting our products and our applications
so that you can take pride in using them.
Stage I and II Wheelie / Acceleration
Sprocket Sets
All Stage I and Stage II Sprocket Kits come with
a front and rear sprocket and are designed to be used with
the stock pitch and length chain. Stage I = An increase
in acceleration, torque, and overall performance by approx.
10%. This setup is designed to maximize both acceleration
and top speed. Stage II = An increase in acceleration and
torque of 18% on average.
A loss of 5-10% in top speed may be experienced. Notice-
If the current chain is intented to be used then it should
be in very good condition due to the added stress of any
kit.
Stage I and II Drive Kits
All Stage I and Stage II Drive Kits come with a
front and rear sprocket and new chain. The final drive ratio
of the Stage I and II Drive Kits are the same as the Sprockets
Sets. However, in some cases we are able to use a larger
front and rear sprocket. And in this case, the new chain
will be a longer length to accommodate this In many cases
we offer these kits in popular conversion sizes, so please
review the charts carefully.
Street Stunt Drive Kits
Street Stunt Drive Kits are designed to be used
by riders who are more interested in technical stunts and
acceleration than top speed. Most of these kits will be
an increase of about 12-14 teeth net.
These kits will reduce the top speed of most bikes by 25%
or more. This is as low of a gearing change that can be
made while still maintaining a very 'streetable' bike.
Pro Stunt Drive Kits
PRO Stunt Drive Kits are designed to be used in
competition by professional riders on a closed course. Most
of these kits will be an increase of about 20-22 teeth net.
These kits will reduce the top speed of most bikes by 40%
or more. In many case these predetermined kits are only
available in conversion sizes, so please review the charts
carefully.
520 Conversion Performance
Kits
For those looking for the optimum performance we
offer 520 Conversion kits in all of our ratios for most
popular middle-weight class bikes. Low friction chains combined
with lightweight sprockets give extra acceleration without
wasting hp or rpm's.
In fact, gains of 5-7% percent are typical just form bolting
on one of our high performance 520 kits. (For larger displacement
bikes we offer most kits in performance enhancing 525 pitch.)
Many other models are available upon request.
Individual Sprockets / Custom
Drive Kits / Chain
We can accommodate just about any size sprocket
for any bike. And although our specialty is combining kits
to make choosing the right setup easy, we do sell individual
sprockets and custom drive kits. We also carry common and
hard to find chain in all sizes, lengths, and colors. Please
call or e-mail for price quotes on individual sprockets
Important Notes-
All of our drive kits come with x-ring or w-ring
sealed chains that are appropriately rated for the bike
for which they are intended. Please check with us before
using any parts of a specific kit on a bike of larger displacement
than it was originally intended.
All exisintg chains should be chceked for wear (stretched,
binding, tight spots, etc.) before new sprockets are installed.
Installing new sprockets on a worn chain will significantly
reduce the sprocket life and can cause serious damage.
The chain tension on all modern sportbikes should be maintained
with a minimum of 2" of top-to-bottom travel to accommodate
full suspension movement and prevent premature chain stretching
and sprocket wear.
